What’s Next?

Hey everybody,

Easter weekend at Believers was amazing! Our Good Friday service was incredible. The night of worship and communion was so extraordinarily beautiful. The time of reflection, prayer and communion was powerful and the Lord’s presence was certainly felt. I know of at least two people who came to faith in Jesus on Good Friday. That makes Good Friday pretty GREAT!
Then there was Easter Sunday. So wonderful. There were more than 300 people above our Sunday average attendance! We welcomed LOTS of guests from our community for the very time. We exceeded 300 kids in Believers kids for 2 weeks in a row…and on Easter, no kids were turned away because we had enough volunteers to serve EVERYONE well!  How great is that??!

If you joined us either in person or online, thank you for celebrating Easter with us.

If you had someone attend with you, thank you for being bold in your prayers and your invitations. I hope that your guests had a great experience and will consider coming with you again soon.

And to those of you who give to Believers, your generosity makes it possible for us to create Easter experiences (and Palm Sunday) and provide ongoing opportunities for every adult, student, and child to grow in their faith. Thank you for helping us make Jesus #1, one person at a time.

What’s next?

The week after the resurrection, Jesus made many appearances verifying the miracle of Easter. I believe in the days ahead, Jesus will again reveal Himself in real and tangible ways, but it will require looking for Him. Many missed Jesus the first time. Jesus often showed Himself in gatherings. There was the time the disciples were hiding in a room behind a locked door, and Jesus showed up. Another time Jesus showed up to more than 500 of his followers at the same time (1 Corinthians 15:6). In fact, the only time that I can tell that Jesus showed up to one person was when he confronted the Apostle Paul.

What am I saying? You experienced a great weekend where Jesus revealed Himself in significant ways. He wants to continue showing up, showing off, and working in you and your life. Join us THIS Sunday as we continue our study of the Sermon on the Mount.  If you want to get a head start on the message, read Matthew 5:13 and 14. Let’s lean into what Jesus has for us at this time.

I look forward to seeing you and your guests THIS Sunday.

Blessings,

Pastor Jamey
